About us

Who we are ?

—————————————————-

A group of Thai students from various universities across Europe, united by a shared passion for community, culture, and connection.

Our members come from many countries—including France, Germany, the UK, Denmark, Italy, and more—bringing diverse experiences and a strong sense of belonging. The Thai Students’ Association in Europe (TSAE) is here to support, inspire, and connect Thai students through academic resources, cultural events, career guidance, and meaningful friendships.

The Thai Students Association in Europe (TSAE) was founded on 15 September 2024 as a non-profit organization with the goal of connecting Thai students across Europe. The association aims to promote academic and cultural collaboration, foster network-building among Thai student groups in various countries, and serve as a platform for exchanging ideas that benefit Thai society and the global community.

TSAE was established by resolution of the presidents of 11 founding Thai student associations across Europe namely Austria, Belgium, United Kingdom (Samaggi Samagom), Czechia, France, Poland, Netherlands, Romania, Switzerland, Germany, and Hungary.

The official launch took place during the Annual Academic Conference of the Thai Students Association in France, held in Toulouse, France, from 9–11 November 2024, with representatives from all 11 associations in attendance.

Later, 4 more associations joined, bringing the total to 15, namely, Denmark, Italy, Russian, and Turkey. Prior to its formal founding in 2024, there had been collaborations between individual Thai student associations, such as:

  • Sports events like the “FrieND” Games (2017), involving France, Germany, and the Netherlands
  • Joint political statements (e.g., on the 2020 Thai political protests)
  • Academic conferences like the 2021 “Thai Students in Europe Conference,” involving associations from France, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Belgium

However, these initiatives lacked consistency and long-term coordination due to the absence of a formal structure.

To establish a sustainable and structured network, the 11 founding associations convened and resolved to form TSAE on 15 September 2024, adopting its first charter and appointing Mr. Anan Krabuansri, then-President of the Thai Students Association in France, as the first President of TSAE, tasked with forming the Executive Committee.

“Connecting Thai students in Europe for growth, inspiration, and cross-border collaboration is our core mission”

We know there are many Thai students in Europe and we believe how strong our network and bond can be built.
